Heavenly Guidance

A modern advancement to navigation is GPS or global poisoning system. It relies on a network of satellites giving bearings a lot like triangulation shown earlier. The main problems of it are:

• It only works while it is waterproof and has power.
• It only works when it can ‘see’ the satellites in the sky, so it doesn’t work properly under trees or indoors.

Another less well-known problem is that they have a built in error. This was put in place by the US government to avoid terrorists using it to direct fire.

This means that they should never be relied upon 100% when navigating outdoors.
